Master of Arts in Global Governance

Bailey Cordrey is an international affairs researcher and communications practitioner with interests in environmental security, migration regimes and the governance of emerging technologies. She is a Master of Global Governance candidate and Graduate Research Fellow at the Balsillie School of International Affairs and was awarded a Bachelor of Environmental Science from the University of Waterloo in 2018. Her major research project investigates the impact of biometric technologies in United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees aid programs.

Bailey is a Research and Communications Associate at the Institute for Peace and Diplomacy, where she creates organizational and campaign communications procedures, develops fundraising strategies and designs research projects. Here, she is developing a research project about opportunities for Sino-Canadian collaboration in multilateral pandemic governance in partnership with the University of Waterloo. She has also held positions at The Engine Room, the United Nations Environment Programme, the Green Party of Canada and the Ontario Ministry of Environment and Climate Change.
