Balsillie Fellows
Balsillie Fellowships for Graduate Students:
CIGI has pledged substantial support for graduate programs on international public policy at the University of Waterloo (UW) and at Wilfrid Laurier University (WLU). The $3.5-million initiative was made possible through a generous donation by CIGI founder, Mr. Jim Balsillie, and assists the two universities in building multidisciplinary graduate programs of top international calibre on international public policy issues. The purpose of this gift is to continue the development of a partnership between CIGI, UW and WLU in the pursuit of collaborative research on public policy and Canadian-based solutions to international governance challenges. This initiative supports CIGI's goal to attract and enhance scholarly activities and to further Canada's role in helping to understand global economics and the multidisciplinary aspect of global issues.
