Background
Samantha was born in Hamilton, Ontario, and grew up in Alberta and Manitoba. She studied Political Science and Philosophy at Brandon University (Manitoba).
She chose to attend the BSIA for its well-rounded and multidisciplinary approach towards issues of global governance, as well as the overall uniqueness of the MAGG program itself. "One of the key features in my decision to attend BSIA was the inclusion of the internship component, and the widespread belenefits to be had from the opportunity to gain such first hand experience in my field. Additionally, the opportunity to be able to be involved with the Centre for International Governance Innovation was also an influential factor in my decision to choose to attend the BSIA."
Samantha is interested in the operation of international organizations, particularly in relation to the adoption of transnational approaches to the alleviation of extreme poverty and the broader struggle towards the preservation of human rights on a global scale.
