Background

My academic interests in international relations are largely focused on how the information age will see dramatic changes in world affairs and global governance, and more specifically, how emergent technologies will alter violent conflict.  Other interests include the impact rising powers such as China will have on the international order, as well as a passion for history, and exploring the root causes of much of today's turmoil.

As a CIGI Junior Fellow, I am part of the graduate-student policy team working on concepts of Ideational Conflict, focusing on the Franco-Prussian War and Kashmir.

Immediately prior to beginning this program I was employed by my local Member of Parliament doing research and casework for constituents in the riding.  Outside of the classroom I enjoy running, mountain biking, and when I get the chance, jumping out of perfectly good airplanes.
