Courses
Students are required to complete six courses during their first year in the program: four core courses and two courses from the student's chosen field. Core Courses 2010/2011
All students must complete the following three courses:
Core Course Component: GGOV 700(UW)/GV710 (WLU) Globalization and Global Governance
Economics Component: ECON 637 (UW)/GV 730 Economic Analysis and Global Governance
History Component: One of the following courses: HIST 605 (UW) Global Governance in Historical Perspective or GV720 (WLU) The History of Global Governance
Seminar Component: GGOV 701 (UW)/GV 701 (WLU) Research Seminar for Global Governance
Field Courses and Electives
Students must choose to specialize in one of the five fields of the program: Global Political Economy, Global Environment, Conflict and Security, Global Justice and Human Rights, Multilateral Institutions and Diplomacy, and Global Social Governance. Students must select at least two courses from their chosen field. Of these two, at least one course must be a course identified as "core" for that field (marked with an asterisk in the lists below).
Note: Not all courses are offered each year and more courses may be available.
