Dimitria Adriana Interlici is studying at the Balsillie School of International Affairs as an exchange student from the University of Konstanz, Germany for two terms. Afterwards, she will return to Germany to finish her degree in Politics and Public Administration (Master of Arts).
Dimitria holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Konstanz, Germany in Politics and Public Administration. Throughout her studies she developed an interest for educational policies, social justice and for administrative science.
In her thesis, Dimitria combined these interests by conducting an in-depth case study on the Land of Baden-Württemberg, focusing on the impact of the private schools’ laws’ amendment on the educational equity of pupils.
Furthermore, Dimitria appreciates to learn and to study in an international and intercultural environment. Thus, during her undergraduate studies, she went abroad twice. In 2016 she did a six-months internship in Brussels, Belgium at the German Rectors’ Conference where she pursued her interest in educational policies. After this precious experience, she did an Erasmus Exchange at the Università degli Studi di Pavia, Italy where she focused on administrative science, especially on corruption in the Italian political system.
Dimitria’s volunteer work reflects her curiosity to explore different cultures and languages. After volunteering for a few years in the universities’ Language Café, she committed herself to a project which is called “Europa macht Schule” (Europe meets School) where exchange students present their cultures to German pupils in German schools.
At the Balsillie School of International Affairs Dimitria has a keen interest in learning more about the interface between politics and public administration from a global perspective, but also, to extend her expertise in migration studies. For her exchange in Canada she has been awarded the Baden-Württemberg-STIPENDIUM for University Students.
