International Law Summer Institute

CIGI's International Law Research Program and the Balsillie School of International Affairs have again partnered to offer the International Law Summer Institute. Led by Dr. Neil Craik and Dr. Sara Seck, this week-long program is intended to provide graduate students studying global governance and related topics with an introduction to public international law and associated processes and institutions, as well as provide students with access to leading international law researchers.
The curriculum will cover foundational aspects of public international law, such as sources of international law, statehood and state jurisdiction, state responsibility, and compliance with international law. In addition, leading international lawyers and legal scholars have been invited as guest faculty and will present on specific areas of international legal practice and theory.
Applications to attend the Institute are available below and are due on Friday, March 31 to Tiffany Bradley. Successful applicants will be notified during the first week of April.
