Foundations in International Public Policy (FIPP) course 2023

August 1, 2023 @ 9:00 am - August 29, 2023 @ 3:00 pm

The Foundations in International Public Policy (FIPP) is a non-credit certificate workshop through the Balsillie School of International Affairs (BSIA), from August 8-31, 2023. It is particularly suited to the needs of candidates for the Master of International Public Policy (MIPP) who either have not studied one or more of introductory political science, economics, or statistics. Students who have earned undergraduate credits in all these disciplines but believe they can benefit from a review are also welcome.

The workshop content reflects the multidisciplinary demands of most policy problems. Our case studies highlight the contributions of economics, political science, theoretical and empirical analysis to the formulation, implementation, and assessment of public policy.

This course will be held in class at the Balsillie School of International Affairs, weekdays starting August 1st, 2023 to August 29th, 2023, inclusive, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm each day and will be led by Professor Emeritus, Wilfrid Laurier University, Dr. Terry Levesque.

The cost to attend this session is $1000.00 CAD for all incoming MIPP Candidates. $1,500.00 CAD for all other interested students.

Application forms can be obtained by writing Maureen Ferraro at mferraro@wlu.ca.
