How does the government of Canada make decisions about energy and the energy transition in Canada? Come hear from Peter Massie, Manager in Strategic Policy and Techno-Economic Analysis at Natural Resources Canada on how the government makes decisions, what factors influence decision making, and how the government conducts research. Peter will also provide a behind the scenes look at what it is like working for NRCan.

About the speaker

Peter Massie has over 8 years experience with Natural Resources Canada in roles ranging from the Office of Energy Research and Development, Petroleum Resources Branch, and Electricity Resources Branch. He has a M.A. in Sustainable Energy Policy, Energy Policy from Carleton University, and entered the Government of Canada through the prestigious Policy Analyst Recruitment and Development Program (PARDP).

Presented by the BSIA Environment and Resources Research Cluster.
