Resilient Ukraine? The Battle of Democracy v. Autocracy and the War’s Impacts on the Global Order

The STEM for Global Resilience research cluster is delighted to have Ambassador Thomas M.T. Niles speak to us on the current crisis in Ukraine. Over the course of his career, Ambassador Niles was the US ambassador to Canada, Greece, and the EU, as well as serving as Assistant Secretary of State for Europe and Canada with earlier postings in Belgrade and Moscow. He brings a deep knowledge of the underlying issues at stake in the war against Ukraine. Ambassador Niles played a central role in shaping key strategic and diplomatic interventions in a variety of international crises and possesses first-hand knowledge and experience about the complex relationships between Ukraine, the US, EU, Canada, and Russia.
