Skilled Migration Flows and Borders in a Globalized World

Tuesday, May 23, 2017, 8:45AM - Wednesday, May 24, 2017, 6:00PM

Cross-border mobility of skilled labour is now a fundamental part of the globalization process. The need for particular skills and professions has shaped international migration flows through rules, bordering practices, and policies on foreign credential recognition. The Borders in Globalization Summer Institute in collaboration with the International Migration Research Centre will present and discuss graduate student research that explores skilled migration flows and barriers in a globalized world.
