Waterloo Region Multidisciplinary Graduate Conference on Africa, 2019

The 2nd Waterloo Region Multidisciplinary Graduate Conference in Africa hosted by the Tshepo Institute and Balsillie School of International Affairs will be happening Friday, March 8th, 2019. The conference brings together Masters, Doctoral and Postdoctoral students with research related to Africa. Students will showcase their own research, learn about other research on Africa, and explore questions about doing research in and about Africa. In addition, Dr. Liam Riley, a Banting Postdoctoral Fellow with the African Food Security Urban Network and the Hungry Cities Partnership, will talk about his own research and how he developed and used his research after completing a PhD to continue his scholarship as part of a research collective. This conference is also an opportunity to network and meet students and scholars engaged with scholarship on Africa.
