Idowu Ajibade

SSHRC Postdoctoral Fellow
Dr. Ajibade is an environmental and development geographer who has a strong passion for interdisciplinary research on climate change, urban resilience, disaster risk reduction, gender and human rights. Her current research explores the ethical conundrums and opportunities for building resilience among low-income urban residents in Africa and south-east Asia.

Mary S. Caesar

Postdoctoral Fellow
Dr. Caesar’s primary research areas are public health, urban food security, urban governance, gender and race in South and southern Africa.

Malcolm Campbell-Verduyn

Postdoctoral Fellow
Dr. Campbell-Verduyn is a political scientist broadly interested in international political economy and private forms of authority, whose regional focus is Europe. His current research examines the roles of emergent technologies in global financial governance.

Melissa Finn

Postdoctoral Fellow
Dr. Finn is a post-doctoral researcher working with Dr. Bessma Momani on youth political participation in Canada, the Middle East, and Eastern Africa.

Cameron McCordic

Postdoctoral Fellow
Dr. McCordic is an interdisciplinary researcher investigating how people become vulnerable to natural and social hazards. Cameron’s work has focused on urban food security as well as social stigma and xenophobia.

Liam Riley

Banting Postdoctoral Fellow
Dr. Riley is a human geographer interested in household food security, urban geographies, gender and development, and childhoods, with a regional research focus on Southern Africa.

Zhenzhong Si

Postdoctoral Fellow
Dr. Si is a human geographer with broad research interests in sustainable food systems, alternative food networks, food security, food safety and rural development initiatives. He currently works with the Hungry Cities Partnership on food in Nanjing.

Lauren Sneyd

SSHRC Postdoctoral Fellow
Dr. Lauren Sneyd is a SSHRC Postdoctoral Fellow conducting research on food security, dietary adequacy and urban development challenges in Africa, specifically in Cameroon in Central Africa.
