The BSIA Program Directors facilitate collaborative research activities for BSIA faculty and students, undertake ongoing outreach, and help to facilitate and support academic programming on the campus.

Simon Dalby

Associate Director of the PhD Program in Global Governance, CIGI Chair in the Political Economy of Climate Change, Professor
Dr. Dalby is an author and researcher of climate change, political ecology, geopolitics, global security, militarization and the spatial dimensions of governance.

Daniel Gorman

Director of the PhD Program in Global Governance, Professor
An international relations and governance expert, Dr. Gorman currently researches the role of ideas as agents of global change in the 20th century.

Suzan Ilcan

Director of the MA in Global Governance Program, and Professor
Research: Dr. Suzan Ilcan examines humanitarian aid, refugee management, and citizenship and refugee rights in Namibia, Uganda, and, more recently, in Turkey.

Paul Maxim

Director of the Master of International Public Policy Program
Dr. Maxim's most recent research focuses on migration and the socio-economic integration of immigrants into Canadian society.
