The BSIA offers warm congratulations to Balsillie Fellows Randy S’ad (ReFOCUS) and Manuel Riemer (Laurier) on completing the first successful workshop of their project ‘Toward Just Transitions: A Partnership for Addressing Equity and Accessibility in Municipal Climate Action Planning”.

Led by Laurier’s Viessman Centre for Engagement and Research in Sustainability (VERiS), S’ad and Riemer will lead a series of multi-disciplinary workshops that team up with stakeholders across Canada and internationally, ranging from the City of Kitchener to OCAD University, to identify, develop, and test new approaches to addressing climate change in a just and equitable manner.

Randy S’ad is a member of the STEM for Global Resilience research cluster, while Dr. Manuel Riemer is a member of the Environment and Resources research cluster.

If you are interested in participating in the workshops or following the project as it progresses, please contact Dr. Riemer at [email protected] or visit the VERiS website for more information.
