Roger Boyd is a PhD Candidate in the Global Governance program at the Balsillie School of International Affairs, who is pursuing a specialization in conflict and security studies. He has Master of Arts Degrees in Economics and Global Studies, as well as an MBA in Finance.
Prior to beginning his doctoral studies he spent 25 years as an executive in the financial industry, and authored a book exploring the links between the energy and financial systems. Most recently he has completed a novel based on a future climate change driven crisis.
Roger’s research explores the factors that will both support and inhibit societal resilience in the face of climate change and general ecological destruction. Such threats provide fundamental ontological and epistemological challenges for the field of International Security.
