Sandra Biskupovic

Sandra Biskupovic is a PhD Candidate in Global Governance at the Balsillie School of International Affairs (BSIA). Her research explores the complex multilevel governance arrangements surrounding critical infrastructure resilience. Her research focuses on strategies designed to reduce the societal impacts of extreme weather, natural disasters and climate change.

Sandra holds an MES in Sustainability Management from the University of Waterloo. Her MES research established the current conceptualization of the topic of critical infrastructure resilience in scholarly literature, identified the current state of knowledge and extant research findings of the topic and outlined the necessary future research directions to further advance knowledge of critical infrastructure resilience.

Sandra is also a research assistant with The Climate Risk Research Group (CRRG), an interdisciplinary team working to support the governance of Canadian climate change adaptation by providing evidence-based policy advice. She assists with various research projects, working with senior government managers/directors on the development of solutions to the financial management of disaster risk in Canada.
