Special keynote address featured during Orientation Day activities

On Friday, September 8, the BSIA held Orientation Day activities to welcome its new cohort of more than 40 students. School founder, Mr. Jim Balsillie, and school director, John Ravenhill, offered remarks to the entire class, then Mr. Balsillie met with our incoming PhD candidates to discuss the specific research interests of each student.

All incoming students and many faculty and staff were then treated to a catered lunch while The Honourable Ratna Omidvar, Senator for Ontario, discussed her ideas on the global refugee crisis.

Students also had the opportunity to tour the School, have class photos taken, and attend sessions about our partnership with Global Affairs Canada.

We look forward to another very successful year!
