Dr. Bessma Momani is Professor of Political Science at the University of Waterloo and the Balsillie School of International Affairs. She has authored and co-edited over eight books and over 65 scholarly, peer reviewed journal articles and book chapters that have examined the IMF, the World Bank, petrodollars, the Middle East, and Arab youth.
Dr. Rygiel’s research focuses on citizenship, migration and border security in North America and Europe. Projects include research on community-based initiatives fostering cultural pluralism in Europe and on Syrian refugees in Turkey.

Dr. Whiteside’s current research program focuses on interrelated areas of global health concerns. These include: shifting burdens of disease, immigrant and migrant health, and the economic and social causes and consequences of HIV and AIDS.
